Step 1: Enable 2-Step Verification and Generate an App Password
- Log in to your Yahoo email account.
- Click on Account Settings.
- Go to the Security section.
- Ensure 2-Step Verification is turned on. If it’s not enabled, turn it on first.
- Once 2-Step Verification is enabled, locate the App Password option.
6. Click Generate App Password.
7. Click Get Started.
8. When prompted to name the app, enter MYSTC 2.0.
9. Click Generate Password.
10. Copy the generated password and save it (you will need it later).
11. Click Done to finish in Yahoo.
Step 2: Configure MYSTC Email Server Settings
- Open MYSTC and navigate to the email server settings.
- In the Email Service Provider field, select Other.
- Enter the following server details:
- SMTP Host: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
- Port: 587
- Username: Your full Yahoo email address
- Password: Paste the app password you generated in Step 1
4. Click Send Test Email.
5. Check your Yahoo inbox for a confirmation email from MYSTC. If you receive it, the setup was successful
